Ready to Go

Scott had his weekly Bible class and after the class got some wonderful, unexpected news for our Minister. Our Minister, John told Scott that he was ready to begin his Evangelism preaching and that the church was going to be sending him out to revivals this summer!! Scott and I are so excited. This has been Scott's calling for a long time and to finally see it happen is wonderful.

Trip to WPAF Museum

Last Saturday, Scott, myself and my mom along with my grandpa went to the Air Force museum in Dayton Ohio. We had a really good time. It was nice change. Something that we needed, to get a way for the day along with my mom and grandpa. To be honest not my idea of a outing but, my grandpa and mom has been wanting to go for a while. My mind was soon changed as I got there. I found myself in amazement and in awe at all of the aircraft that was there. I was drawn in at all the history that was there and all the stories beaning told and to see it all up close and personal it was really cool. I learned alot that day about myself, that is ok to try new things out of my comfort zone and interests..you might love it and how much I love what so many have done for me. At one point a (around my grandpa's age) retired Air Force pilot came over and shook my grandpa's hand and said "thank you" for your service and in return my grandpa said the same. My grandpa wasn't in the Air Force but in the army during WW II. My eyes began to swell up with a few tears. It was a great thing to see and hear two men, strangers but yet bonded in a way that I will never know give thanks to each other. I came I realized that this museum was not just place to go a see the planes but, a place to honor all the people that served our country.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER By Maya Angelou
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,' I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say.... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain... I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!
Pretty is as Pretty does... But beautiful is just plain beautiful!

To The Races

Scott and I went to the BMX races at Kettering, Ohio on Sunday to see our nephew and niece race. We had a great time and the kids did good too. Katelyn got a third place finish and it was her first time racing! She took a bad fall and ate some dirt in the first go around but, she got right back up and went again. Shane got a second place win. We are so proud of them.

Memorial Weekend

We had Jason, Meg and Shy along with Chase, Cassie and Joe over for just a little pizza from a local place that we love and then we had a bonfire and roasted marshmallow and had some smores. We had a great time a we laughed our butts off. We always do when we all get together. It was a wonderful night. I am so happy that we can have nights out like this because we are free thanks the all the brave men and women that have and are fighting for us. God Bless 'em.
